Common questions
How do I receive today's barakah?
Open Daily Barakah and rest your finger on the lantern near the bottom of the screen. The lantern lights, and today's barakah is read to you while your finger stays there. If you lift your finger, the voice pauses. Touch the lantern again and it continues.
What is a barakah?
In this app, a barakah is a short reminder of Allah's mercy, written for you in plain words, a few sentences long. Each one closes with a dua or an ayah. The Arabic is shown on the screen, with its meaning in English beneath it and where it comes from, such as the surah and ayah of the Quran.
The voice reads the reminder and the English meaning. The Arabic is shown for you to read or recite yourself, and is not read aloud.
Where do the duas and ayat come from?
Every ayah is referenced to the Quran by surah and ayah, and every hadith to one of the well‑known collections by name. The English meanings are plain renderings written to be easy to understand, not a published translation. If you believe anything is mistaken, please write to us. We take corrections seriously.
I can't hear the voice.
Press the volume up button on the side of your iPhone while your finger is on the lantern. If you use headphones or a hearing aid, check that it is connected. The barakah also appears on the screen as it is read.
My reminders aren't arriving.
Open the iPhone Settings app, tap Notifications, then Daily Barakah, and turn on Allow Notifications. You can change the morning reminder time inside Daily Barakah: tap the gear in the top corner, then Morning reminder.
If you haven't received your barakah by 8 PM, the app sends one gentle evening reminder so your streak stays safe. Reminders are set up each time you open the app, so opening it every few days keeps them coming.
What happens if I miss a day?
Your streak starts again from the beginning, but you never miss a barakah. The next time you open the app, you'll receive the barakah that was waiting for you.
Can I hear an earlier barakah again?
Yes. Tap the gear in the top corner, then Past blessings. Tap any barakah to read it again, with its Arabic, or tap Listen to hear it.
How much does it cost?
Your first barakah is free, so you can hear one before deciding. After that, Daily Barakah is $5.99 per month in the United States (prices in other countries are shown in the app before you subscribe). You can cancel at any time.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In Daily Barakah, tap the gear, then Manage subscription. Or open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Daily Barakah.
Cancel at least a day before your current month ends to avoid being charged for the next one. Apple handles all billing, so we can't cancel or refund a subscription for you. For a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
I got a new iPhone. How do I get my subscription back?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Daily Barakah, and tap Restore purchase. Your streak and past blessings are kept on your iPhone. They come along if you set up your new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup.
Whose voice reads the barakah?
Each barakah is read by an AI‑generated voice, chosen to sound warm, calm and natural. Every barakah was recorded ahead of time, so it works even without an internet connection.
Does Daily Barakah collect my information?
No. There is no account to create, and nothing you do in the app is sent to us. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
